Your Recovery Team - Lissi Seneway, LMHC, CAP, ICADC
Lissi Seneway, LMHC, CAP, ICADC, did her undergraduate work in psychology and sociology at Florida Atlantic University Honors College in Jupiter, Florida and her graduate work in counseling at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, receiving a dual master of science in mental health and addiction studies. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Certified Addiction Professional in the state of Florida, and an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Lissi has dedicated her career to working with men and women living with substance abuse issues, many who often have additional conditions, including depression and anxiety. Lissi has also worked closely and therapeutically with the families of people with substance abuse issues.
Lissi has written and facilitated highly specialized treatment curriculums, including family programs, gender specific programs, and a treatment program for pregnant and post-partum addicted women. She has guest lectured on substance abuse at local universities, the Rochester Institute of Technology on psychopharmacology, and served as an adjunct professor of psychology and sociology at the College of Health and Allied Development. She has trained mental health and substance abuse providers in Palm Beach County on such topics as theories of addiction, attachment disorders, and family systems theory.
Lissi appeared on A&E's Intervention as a treating clinician, was featured on West Palm Beach Channel 5 News “Making a Difference”, and has been interviewed and featured in Social Work Today. She served as a member of the Women's Chamber of Commerce West Palm Beach Chapter, and is a member of the American Counseling Association and the National Association of Professional Women.
