Dr Silverman is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, and the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the Florida Society of Addiction Medicine, the Florida Medical Association, and the Broward County Medical Association.
He also serves on the United Way's Broward County Commission on Substance Abuse, Board of Governors. Dr. Silverman also served on the Broward County Commission's Pain Clinic Task Force, established to determine feasibility of moratoria on pain clinics in the county as well as the creation of a countywide ordinance to regulate such clinics.
Vision
To integrate both pain and addiction treatment and to stop the overuse and over prescribing of pain medications, which have caused a prescription drug epidemic in our country.
